Pathology

Any tissue samples (biopsies, polyps) taken during your procedure will be sent to a licensed pathologist for analysis.  Pathology/biopsy results take approximately three business days.  Your physician’s office personnel will notify you of any abnormal pathology.  If you do not hear from your physician’s office with the pathology/biopsy results, if desired you can call their office (405-366-8619) to obtain the results.  If you have a primary care provider (PCP) who referred you for the procedure that was performed, the PCP will receive a copy of the procedure and pathology results.

Periodically, pathology/biopsy findings require that you have a repeat procedure or an office visit to meet with your physician.  In this case you will be contacted by your physician’s office personnel.
